END OF 1986 SKI SEASON

The 1986 ski season at Turoa officially ends tomorrow, and the long awaited Turoa ticket draw is included in the elosing ceremonies. Two major draws will be made at the ticket office plaza on the mountain at 4.30pm weather permitting. otherwise at Turoa's ski hire shop in Ohakune. The winners of the ticket draws will receive identical prizes comprising a video

recorder, ski wear, a season pass, a 1987 Turoa skiacademy pass and ski accessories valued at about $3000. T uroa experienced a quiet weekend with good skiing down to 2000 metres and moderately fine weather. Whakapapa skifields have officially wound down for the season with preparations under way for the Tongariro National Park's summer holiday programme.
