Ohakune Police arrested a 26-year old man overnight Friday on a charge of receiving stolen property. He will be appearing in the Ohakune District Court on 23 October. ★ ★ ★ On Friday evening at about 9.30pm. a person was discovered siphoning petrol from a vehicle parked in the carpark of the Ohakune Hotel. The suspect ran off before he could be identified. ★ ★ ★ Ohakune Police attended a iwo-car.collision in Goldfinch Street. Ohakune, on Saturday morning. No-one was injured in the incident. ★ * ★ Three 16-year-old Waiouru youths appeared in the Wellington District Court yesterday charged with the burglary of Ruapehu College overnight Friday. The youths smashed a window into the school's tuckshop and stole a microwave oven and a quantity of sweets. They were traced to Wellington and later apprehended. ★ ★ ★
