HIT AND RUN

The driver of a vehicle involved in a hit-and-run incident in Raetihi last Friday night came forward voluntarily and no warrant was issued for his arrest. The incident occurred in Seddon Street at about 10. 1 5pm when the driver of a car collided with two parked cars and continued on his way. The guilty party came forward to the Police the following day and the matter was cleared up. Waiouru Military Police and army personnel attended an accident that occurred at the intersection of State Highways 1 and 49 over the weekend. Heavy haulage vehicles were used to hoist an articulated truck and trailer upright when it rolled onto its side after a collision with another vehicle
