Tourism boost
A Tourism Day '86 is to be held at the THC Tokaanu on Thursday 13 November to encourage tourism in the central North Island. A sub-committee of the Central North Island Regional Tourism Council is organising the day to give tourism a boost in the region and to help get a regional tourism council set up so that the central North Island can compete more effectively with other regions. Arrangements for the programme are under way and should be released shortly. Registration forms will be sent out in late September.
