Rugby greats play again

Do you want to relive those golden rugby days of a quarter century ago? Your chance is coming up soon when Ruapehu rugby players of the 1960s get together for a challenge match. Raetihi players made the challenge which was eagerly taken up by Ohakune, all of them wanting to show they can still hack it in the '80s! Players are coming from all over New Zealand for the game. Many of them are former members of representative teams. Memorable players such as Jim and Brian Chambers Claude Berry, Inky Wilson, Harry Findlay, Alan Whimp, Maurice and Vincent Rush, Tom Spry, Ritchie Akapita, Willie Wilson, Ken George, Ray Parr and Bill Rewiti and many others will be taking part. The game is to take place on Saturday 30 August at the Raetihi showgrounds. Watch this paper for further information about this exciting fixture.
