Church army captain speaks at breakfast

Captain Peter Allfrey, Parish Missions Officer for Church army in NZ spoke at a Christian men's breakfast on Saturday 6 August. The message was a call to the men present to honour the Kingship of Jesus. He called attention to gospel of the kingdom. Father Neil Wilson opened with grace, and Kevin Martin led the group in prayer before Pastor Henry Chase led the singing of Hymns. Rev. Bob Peck introduced Captain Allfrey and thanked him for hisaddress. Doug Eves closed the meeting with prayers. About 19 men were present.

The ministers' fraternal which sponsored the breakfast, wishes to express gratitude to Wattie Parkes for assistance in arrangements, and Johnny Nation for an excellent breakfast. On 17 August the Rev. Don Battley, Vicar of Christ Church, Wanganui, will be the guest preacher at St. Marys Anglican Church Raetihi at 9.30am, and 11.30am at St Johns Ohakune. He will be opening the stewardship campaign which will last until 24 August. Morning tea at St. Marys will follow the early service and Sunday school at I lam. During the week of stewardship, a visit will be

made to every household on the Anglican roll, by stewardship visitors.
