Hot bread shop opens in Waiouru
If you feel like a loaf of hot bread first thing in the morning then the new hot bread shop in Waiouru is the place for you. Opened recently on State Highway One opposite the Army Museum, the shop is open between 7am and 2.30pm every day except Wednesday. Closing is earlier if stock is sold out. Ron Newson. who owns the shop. said that he thought a hot bread shop was a useful addition to Waiouru especially as most small towns on main roads had hot bread facilities. A staff of six work at vario.us times through the week.
They produce and sell bread, cakes, lamingtons, eclairs, cream buns, sally luns, peanut brownies. afghans, as well as lunch and snack fare such as chicken pieces, sausages, homemade pies and filled rolls. Ron works in the afternoon setting out the dough and then starts baking at 4am the next morning.
