Successful Soiree

The Sunday Soiree held in Ohakune at Queen's Birthday weekend was a great success and raised $400 for DEBRA (NZ). DEBR A (NZ) is an organisation set up to promote awareness and research into Epidermolysis Bullosa, a rare skin disease which causes great suffering. DEBRA (NZ) which to thank sincerely all who helped to make the soiree such a success. Special mention must go to the committee: Elwyn, Margaret, Norma, Trish, Eileen, Val, Bill and Jim for their mighty efforts. Grateful thanks also to the entertainers, Harriet Paranihi, Rachel Chan. and Colin and the Jandal sisters, Bill Taylor, Rosemary Briggs, Raylene Sue and Sheree Young, Vera Wilson and her company, Geof and Gaye Fahey and Val Drayton, Sue and Janine Mcllroy, and Jim Goldfinch the very able Master of Ceremonies. Thank you Johnny Nation for your generous donation towards supper, and Rachel, Tina and their team of waiters and waitresses for caring for our inner needs. Also thanks to June Delamare, Noeline Churton and Len Wensor and the Ohakune Club for helping to make the evening possible. Finally to all who attended we thank you for your support.
