Reply to rudeness accusation
Dear Sir, In reply to "Upset Collector's" letter in you paper, I reserve the right to reply. The writer of that letter knows very well that she is not welcome on my property at any time. She provoked a confrontation situation by entering my property when I stood in full view, in front of my house. Furthermore, the language that she imagines was used was never uttered, as witnessed by my wife who was inside, but within hearing. It is true that I told her brusquely to leave the property. More importantly 1 emphasise that what I do and whom I allow on my own property has nothing to do with the fact that I am employed by the Raetihi Borough Council, or that she is ratepayer. I resent the implication
that the Raetihi Borough Council employs an irresponsible lout and challenge her to make a formal complaint to the council about the quality of my work as Borough Foreman. I fully support the Crippled Children's Society and am always happy to
provide a donation, a fact that I made abundantly clear to "Upset Collector" when she called on Saturday morning.
Craig
Ryland,
Raetihi Private Citizen and Ratepayer.
