Local Sport Aid runs
Almost all Ruapehu College students and teachers took part in a r un- walk on Wednesday afternoon but they had to pay for the privilege. About $400 should be raised from the run to go towards Sport Aid. The idea came from teacher William Tailby. Teachers and students ran or walked about 10 kilo-
metres to the Junction area, down Old Station Road, across the swingbridge on Mangawhero Terrace and up Shannon Street back to school. The Ohakune School pupils were to have done a Sport Aid run on Friday but it was postponed because of bad weather. Students brought about $100 on Friday for the run.
