Waiouru Playcentre baby contest

Nearly 50 Waiouru youngsters were entered in Waiouru Playcentre's under-five's photo competition recently. The competition was held to raise funds for the playcentre. Photos were taken by photographer Richard Church and displayed in Waiouru's AGI supermarket. The public voted for who they thought was the bestlooking baby paying one cent a vote. Playcentre raised about $450 from the competition. First prize winner, Howard and Sharon Mahu's nine-month-old baby, Ramon

won a $100 portrait of himself. Nine-month-old Joseph Woon received a $30 travel voucher for coming second. He is the son of Ross and

Michelle Woon. John and Sue Kaye's 11-month-old baby boy, Jesse received the prize in the competition. He can spend $15 at any PSIS store.
