Florist changes hands
JJ's Flowers in Cedar Mall, Ohakune, has become Alpine Flowers after Dawn Donaldson of Raetihi bought the business. Mrs Donaldson took over the shop on 21 April from Janice Dunstan, who has moved to Wanganui with her husband and young daughter. Assisting Mrs Donaldson in the shop is her daughter, Lauren, who left college at the end of last year. Mrs Donaldson has had experience in floral art for about 20 years. She has been president of the Floral Art Club in Raetihi and has exibited her work in shows. She won the novice award for floral art in the Manawatu area several years ago. As well as keeping all the stock which Janice had before, Mrs Donaldson will be making china dolls to sell in the shop. She will also sell arts and crafts on behalf of crafts people. As Mrs Donaldson has been accepted on the Teleflora system, flowers may be sent anywhere in the world.
