Better access at Ohakune tip
Metal is to be spread on the road at the Ohakune rubbish tip to enable easier access to the tip face, borough foreman, John Anderson said in his recent report to council. The water catchment and surge chamber have been cleaned and since then no complaints of dirty water have been received, said Mr Anderson. The surge chamber, where the water is collected, had about three inches of mud, compared with nine inches the previous year, he said.
