Playcentre week f and learning
Waiouru and Raetihi playcentres took advantage of last week's Playcentre Week to promote their centres. Raetihi Playcentre held an open day, while some of the parents sold playcentre toys and games at a stall in the main street of Raetihi. Waiouru Playcentre moved all their equipment and children into the community centre so that all could see what went on at playcentre. Play-dough, paints and raffles were sold- while the children were busy painting, riding trollies or making shapes from play-dough. The day was advertised in community centre shops by shapes and drawings made by playcentre children. Waiouru Playcentre is holding a baby contest soon to raise funds. Those who had their babies photographed last week by Richard Church will have to view the photos at playcentre this Thursday, if they are to be entered in the contest.
