Sharp eyes find chainsaws
Two local boys, Thomas Hemara (left) and Erin Hawira, found out last week that doing the right thing earns the gratitude of others. Warren Swain, co-owner of Cedar Motors in Ohakune, gave them each a reward for their information which led to the recovery of chainsaws stolen from the garage in February. The boys had been walking along
Ayr Street when they caught sight of the chainsaws in the hedge. They immediately told Thomas 's father who went to the garage and asked if the chainsaws were those which had been stolen. Warren said that he and co-owner Bruce McDonald were very grateful to the boys and wanted to offer them some recognition for their good deed. , .
