Ohakune garage celebrates 1st birthday

Ohakune 's Cedar Service Station's first birthday was celebrated in style last week with a champagne breakfast. A large band of wellwishers braved wintery weather in their nighties and pyjamas to enjoy a champagne breakfast. Mechanic Gary Tansley showed unexpected talents as chef, cooking many rations of bacon, eggs and sausages for surprised motorists.. The competition for the best night attire was won by Fiona Mills, Wayne Gunnell and Craig Greenwood. Co-owners of the station, Warren Swain and Bruce McDonald, thanked the business community and everyone else for giving them a good first year to celebrate.
