Councillors reminded of coming election
Ohakune mayor Bill Taylor reminded borough councillors last week that council elections were due in a little over six months, and asked them to think about their
availability for a further term. "I urge you to put yourselves forward again but if you find yourselves unable to do so, do your best to urge others to stand, particularly those vocal in our criticism over the last couple of years," he said. He said that his own plans were somewhat flexible and he had been approached by a publisher to write a lighthearted account of his years on the council. He did not think he could do so at present but if he did it might be called 'The donkey in front of the carrot'l
