Pine Tree Motors stage big opening

Pine Tree Motors, Waiouru 's friendly familyrun service station, is soon to complete its change to a 24-hour BP Super Shop. Manager Margaret Cross, who has been at Pine Tree Motors since 1 973, says they will be selling groceries, Sunday bread, milk, newspapers, magazines, pot plants, pet supplies and souvenirs as well as ihe usual motorists' requirements. "We have always offered old-fashioned service, such as windscreen cleaning and after-hours petrol service, and now we will be able to provide lots more,"she said. Pine Tree Motors is the AA garage in the area and

also offers a 24-hour workshop service with a mechanic always on call. There is a truckies' room with a shower, TV and video and free coffee. The station has LPG and the experimental methanol fuel as well as petrol and diesel. The new BP Super Shop will be opening on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 March with grocery specials, free gifts for the kids. On Saturday between 10.00 and 12.00am there will be free Mr Whippy ice creams for kids and the prize in the colouring competition, a BMX bike, will be presented. At the same time there will be silver tray service — come and get some!
