County clerk reports

County clerk, Mrs Hope Vaughan, reported to a recent Waimarino County Council meeting that the G.S.T. seminar she attended in Palmerston North was very enlightening. "Far Teaching changes are going to have to be made promptly by every council to its present way of handling and recording its financial activities," she said. It was decided that an expert on G.S.T. will come to talk to councillors. Mrs Brenda Webb begins work as senior clerk on 10th March. She is currently a clerk at the Ohakune Borough Council and will be replacing Virginia Tamati.
