Raetihi's top garden

Ameku Road residents Craig and Leigh Ryland are the winners of this year's Civic Pride Cup in Raetihi. Craig is borough foreman for Raetihi, and was also highly commended for a borough garden in Seddon Street, opposite Boyd's Bookshop. Leigh was a teacher at Ruapehu College before their baby was born. The couple, who have been living at their property for nearly four years, share gardening tasks — Craig mows the lawns and does maintenance, while Leigh keeps the rest of the garden in top condition. Their garden was highly commended three years ago.
