Moon rainbow
Not many locals would have been outside at 10.30 on the night of the recent storm (Saturday 25 January), but if you were, you would have seen a rainbow formed by the light of the full moon. Naturally fainter than an ordinary rainbow, it was nevertheless clearly defined, a perfect arc, and with just the slightest suggestion of colours. For the local who reported this, a man of 52, it was as rare as Halley's comet — his first.
