New staff at BNZ

Basil Clement and his wife Sandra, who are recently married, have joined the staff of the Ohakune branch of the Bank of New Zealand. Mr Clement has taken over as manager of the bank from Brian Proudfoot, who left due to ill health. Mr Clement has been accountant at the Marton branch for seven years, and before that for the BNZ in Taupo, Fiji, Mt. Maunganui, Kawerau, and began his career in Opotiki. Mrs Clement has lived in Marton all her life and has had a great deal of experience with the BNZ branch in Marton. The couple is keen on sport. Mr Clement was a cricketer in his spare time and would like to renew his interest in golf, which he played in Fiji, while netball is the main sport for Mrs Clement. Due to the expansion of Ohakune and the branch, Mr Clement said an accountant was soon to be appointed, and three other staff have recently joined the branch. Michelle Meyer and Linda Tapp started at the branch on the same day as Mr Clement, from Ruapehu College, and Ellen Mott began at the bank shortly beforehand.
