Polo crosse results
The second Waimarino Polo Crosse team was runner-up in the B Grade of the Wanganui Region Association Day held on Saturday at Mangamahu. The A Grade team missed being runners-up in their grade by one goal. The previous weekend, the two teams competed at Kakatahi. The first team won two games out of three and included: 1st chucker Harvey Godfrey, Douglas McLean and Enid Windle; 2nd chucker Richard Koorey, Bernice Frost and Russell McLean. Their first game, against Te Kawa, was a win for Waimarino and they lost to Feilding by one goal. Wai-
marino won their last game against Ashhurst. Team members for the second team were: 1st chucker Rex Hall, Craig McGuiness and Don Windle; 2nd chucker Patrick Cornelius, Gray Healey and Rex Hall. The team lost all their games, against Kakatahi 1, Alfedton (Wairarapa) and by one goal to Kakatahi 2.
