Thai military look at Army Museum

Military personnel from Thailand visited Waiouru recently. The four, representing the three services, spent most of their short visit studying the Army Museum at Waiouru with a view to incorporating some of its features in a new services museum planned for Bangkok. They were particularly impressed with the habitat displays, such as that of Gate Pa, and with the audiovisual productions which use six screens and 12 projectors. Their visit was prompted by the supreme commander of Thai forces who visited the Waiouru museum last year and was very impressed with what he saw. Captain Vinai was heard to comment on a chilly day that winter in Thailand was warmer than New Zealand in summer!
