Orautoha School awards

Orautoha School prizes were presented last Tljursday by the Rev. Bob Peck. The senior prize went to Margaret Olds, the middle school prize to Trudy Graham and junior school prize to Sally Williams. The form two pupils Margaret Olds, Vanessa Ranginui and Kathryn Oliver, were farewelled and each was presented with a dictionary. Father Peck spoke to the children emphasising that they should always do their best. Mr Olds, chairman of the school committee, and principal Derek Jansen, also spoke. The children presented plays and sang, and later Father Christmas arrived bringing presents for all the children. Supper followed at the end of a very pleasant evening.
