Fahey-Smithies wedding

Paul Smithies and Cushla Fahey were married at St Patricks Catholic Church in Raetihi on Saturday 15 November. Bishop Brian Ashby of Christchurch conducted the service, assisted by Father Neil Wilson and Father Bernie Vella. Bridesmaids were Jane Fahey and Anna McGuire, flowergirl was Ana Greig and best man Mike Roy. The wedding reception was held in the Fahey's woolshed at Orautoha and was attended by 130 people. The couple left for a honeymoon up north, and will live on Parapara Road. Cushla has been a teacher at Ohakune primary schodl this term and will be teaching in Wanganui next year. Paul works as an accountant for the Maori Affairs Department in Wanganui.
