Governor--General in Waiouru

The Governor General, Sir Paul Reeves and Lady Reeves, will be visiting Waiouru for two days from tomorrow. The Governor - General will review the 1985 Officer Cadet School Graduation Parade on the Block Two parade ground at ATG Waiouru, commencing at 1.30pm in one of his first official acts as Commander in Chief of New Zealand's armed forces. Twenty-four Army officer cadets, including a Tongan and a Fijian, will be commissioned as second lieutenants at the first graduating class of the neW Officer Cadet School of New Zealand. Everyone in the community is invited to see the guard of honour and the parade.
