King Country Area Team Games day

The King Country Area Team Games Day was held on Sunday November 24th at Raetihi Showgrounds. Only the Ohakune and Raetihi branch members attended but seven teams of mixed ages and abilities had a most enjoyable time. The start was delayed through poor weather but finally most games were held in sunshine, the weather breaking completely as the Ohakune riders reached home at the end of the day. The games played were: tyre race, housewife's swing, mug race, potato picking scramble, rope race and sword race. Points were awarded for final placings after heats had been run and were evenly divided at the end of the day. Rosettes were presented to all members and final places were as follows: Ist, Team 2: Michelle Eades, Serena Taylor, Sharon Wagstaff, Sally Williams. 2nd, Team 4: Tania Taylor. Mark Evans, Donna O'Hanlon, Sarah Cornwall. 3rd, Team 6: Heather Cooper, Josie Keith, Donovan Morris, Trudi Allerby. 4th, Team 5; Maria Fredricksen, Fiona Evans, Glen Wilson, Teresa Martin. 5th, Team 1: Jacki Henderson, Helene Dobson, Shari Mason, Rachel James. 6th Equal, Teams 3 and 7; Nicola Tebay, Nicola Gibson, Lisa Hagley, Marni McGregor, Judy Briggs, Rebecca Gibson, Rodney McCoubrie, Robert Taylor.
