Professional house-keeping certificate

A Professional Housekeeping Certificate course has been introduced by the South Taranaki Provincial of Women's Division of Federated Farmers, through Taranaki Polytechnic and the Labour Department. The course will begin in the first term of 1986 at the Hawera Centre of the Taranaki Polytechnic. The course includes studies in cooking, diet and nutrition, care of children, the elderly and the sick, defensive driving, budgeting, first aid, etiquette and communication. Applicants will need to be at least 17, to have had a reliable school attendance and must enjoy practical work and working with people. Anyone interested should apply to Taranaki Polytechnic, 20 Bell Street, New Plymouth or any office of the Department of Labour.
