Garden setting for Nation — Ennis wedding
James Ennis and Tracy Nation were married in a picturesque setting on Jim and Norma Cranston's property at Makaranui last week. Although a light rain fell during the service, the wedding was watched by 240 guests, and hymns and modern songs were sung by the band 'Intro'. Reverend Tom Hawira conducted the service and the wedding party included: Bridesmaids, Gaye Nation and Karen Cranston; flower girls, Trudy Nation and Beckie Goddard; page boys, Scott Nation and Joshua Goddard; best man, John Kennedy and groomsman Kevin McDougall. The wedding reception was held in a nearby marquee. James is a painter and paperhanger and Tracy works in the Ohakune Post Office.
