Courtroom giggle

During a defended hearing in the Ohakune District Court last Thursday a prosecution witness stated that he had identified two vehicles through binoculars as Mitsubishi station wagons. When defenee counsel said that a previous witness (the present witness's daughter) had identified the same two vehicles as Toyota station wagons, the witness commented: "In that case my daughter won the bet." Counsel's next question was: "Do you know anything about these vehicles?" To which the witness replied, without hesitation: I "Obviously not!"
