Big prizes in Lions raffle
The great Ruapehu Lions Club raffle to raise funds for Waimarino Rescue Trust Helicopter appeal is coming to an end, but there is still time to put yourself in the
running for one of the great prizes. First prize, sponsored by BNZ Travel, Nathans Jetset Tours and Air NZ, is a week in Sydney for two, accommodation paid, value $2400,
while for the runner-up there is a five-day trip down the Wanganui River on the MV Wakapai, sponsored by Winston Oliver, value $600. Tickets have been on sale for the past six weeks and saies have been going well, however 20 November is the closing date, so if you want that trip to Sydney or a voyage on the river, hurry along. Tickets are available through Lions club members and BNZ branches in the Waimarino, Waiouru, Wanganui, Waverley and Rangitikei areas, and also from Lands and Survey and Park Board members, Terry Tapp and Lisa Pattcrson and members of the OhakuneRaetihi Rotary Club. The raffle will be drawn at the Ruapehu Lions Club 20th charter anniversary on 30 November, when the formation of the longestablished club will be celebrated. The raffle is drawn under police supervision and results will be published in the Bulletin on 3 December, and the , Dominion and Wanganui Chronicle on 5 December.
