POTHOLES

Dear Sir, I am disgusted at the state of the the footpaths in Ohakune. On Saturday 1 9 October I was in Ohakune when my foot was caught in a pothole outside 'Covers' on the corner of Clyde and Goldfinch Streets. Consequently I have a broken bone in my ankle. I believe there was an earlier fall in this same pothole and the council wasted the ratepayers' time and money by filling the hole with dry gravel. It has taken my fracture to have it filled in properly. If the rest of the potholes aren't fixed an accident more drastic than mine will happen. I am disgusted. (Mrs) Naomi Condon
