McCarthy-Cranston wedding
Neil Cranston of Ohakune and Mary McCarthy of Raetihi were married at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Raetihi on Sunday 20 October. Father Neil Wilson conducted the service, assisted by Father Bernie Vella and Father Bourke. Bridesmaids were Clare Fahey and Theresa McCarthy, Brian Goldfinch was best man and Bruce Cranston grodmsman. The wedding reception was held at the Ruapehu College hall, attended by 150 people. ♦ The couple left for a honeymoon in Fiji, and will live in their house in Harris Road, Raetihi. Mary, a nurse at Waimarino Hospital, is the second youngest daughter of Arthur and Wyn McCarthy, who have lived in Raetihi for 25
years. They have'four other children. Neil is also the second youngest of four children, of
Heather and Tony Cranston, who have lived in Ohakune all their lives. Neil works oil his father's farm.
