Trusteebank donations
The Raetihi and Ohakune branches of Trusteebank Wanganui presented local community groups with donations totalling $1600, at a function in the Summit Bar, Ohakune Hotel, on Thursday evening. Bank trustee, David Buchanan, from Mangaweka, said the Trusteebank likes to give back a percentage to the groups who support them. The Ohakune branch has given $7000 to the community since opening in 1964. The bank also has lent $2.75 million, excluding overdrafts, and depositor funds have totalled $2.2 million. Over the same period the Raetihi branch has donated just under $6000 and lent
about $1 million, with depositors funds totalling $1.3 million. The groups who received donations from the banks this year are: Ohakune Ruapehu Scout Group $50, 12th Manawatu Girl Guides $50, Waimarino Branch Plunket Society $50, Ruapehu College Computer Acct $50, Ruapehu Carand Custom Club Inc $50, Ohakune Senior Citizens $75, Ruapehu Regional Informaiion Centre $100, Checkers Netball Club $50, NZ Deerstalkers/ Mountain Safety $100, Postbank Netball Club $50, Rangers Hockey Club $50, Ohakune Midget Rugby Club $75, Ohakune Bowling Club $200. Raetihi Kohanga Reo$100, Raetihi Playcentre $100, Orautoha Primary School $50, Pipiriki Primary School $50, Raetihi Primary School $50, Waimarino Rodeo Association $50, Waimarino Museum Society $50. Raetihi Junior Soccer Club $50, Raetihi Pony Club $50, Waimarino Squash Club $50, WSB United Softball Club $50.
