COURT MARTIAL

Two court martials will be held this week at Waiouru Military Camp. The first trial starts on 22 October and concerns charges of theft and falsification of documents against Corporal K. H. Lawson. The second trial, on 24 October, concerns charges of theft and illegal possession of a firearm against Trooper J. Clarke. The judge advocate in both cases will be Mr D. Brown from Wanganui. Court martials have the same status of those of a high court and proceedings are open to the public.
