Meeting for Ruapehu I.T.C.

The bi-monthly meeting of Ruapehu I.T.C. (International Training in Communication formerly known as Toastmistresses Club) was held in the Ohakune Primary School staff room on 26 September. All members participated in an Impromptu Speech Contest, which was ably judged by Dave Campbell of Radio 2XR and Dennis Spence, Head of English at Ruapehu College. They placed Margaret Cornwall lst, closely followed by Ann Greenwood 2nd and Fey Eves 3rd, and provided written reports on all speakers which will prove invaluable in future competitions. The Raetihi Primary School staff room will be the venue for the Humourous Speech Contest on 10 October which will be judged by Ohakune mayor, Mr Bill Taylor, and an as yet un-named assistant. Visitors are always welcome, so why not come along and see what I.T.C. is

all about?
