Vegymski great success

The third Vegymski, held over the weekend of 21 and 22 September, was a great success. The Saturday gymnastic competition, which attracted 100 top New Zealand gymnasts, produced very good performances, and was followed by an excellent event meal and disco. Sunday found everyone skiing on the mountain to complete a great weekend. Glyn Hubbard and the Turoa Tumblers are grateful to all supporters of the event and of local gymnastics. Glyn said that all were looking forward to next year's Vegymski. Competitors were organised into teams by drawing lots. Members of the Turoa Tumblers who figured in leading teams are as follows: Junior National Grade Scott Wise in first team; Warwick Hays, Carys Hubbard, Deidre Hanon in second team; Kirsty Mcllroy in third team. National Grades: Warren Scott in third team. Veterans: Janine Mcllroy in second team.
