E. M. MOORE Town Clerk Raetihi Borough Councjl ILLEGAL BUILDINGS The Raetihi Borough Council would like to stress to the Raetihi residents of their obligations under the 'Local Government Act' to obtain permits for structural building within the town. It has been noted that some illicit building has taken place recently and those responsible are urged to contact the Council immediately, re permits before action is taken. All structural work and including: — carports, garages, pergolas porches — often a ranchslider or a window repiling and removing and interna; partition or altering a roof, these are all to be discussed with Administration Staff who will then be pleased to inform the applicant whether a permit is necessary or not. It is worthy of not, that failure to comply with the 'Act' by not obtaining Council permission could technically invalidatethe relative insurance cover in the event of some mishap. Council Building staff are happy to advise on building matters on Fridays, Phone 54-014 or evenings 54-132. H. N.
