A microwave oven was taken from Ruapehu College over the weekend when the schooPs tuck shop was broken into. Other small items such as moro bars were also taken. ★ ★ ★ The MOT haled a checkpoint in Ohakune on Friday night. Many people were stopped and eight people had evidential breath-tests taken. ★ ★ ★ Another caravan at the Ohakune Camping Ground was burgled on Sunday jnight. Clothing and household effects were taken from the caravan between 6 and 10pm. ★ ★ ★ Two pairs of skis were taken from the roofs of two separate cars on Saturday night. "Skiers please take care!" is Sergeant Neil Coker's plea to those who leave their skis on roof-racks. ★ ★ ★ On Thursday night, a vehicle turning from Goldfinch Street right into Clyde Street left the road while trying to avoid another vehicle. The first vehicle came to rest on the footpath outside Footy's Hot Spud Shop, colliding with the side of the building and causing some damage.
