On 6 August we went skiing. I went with my buddy Chris. He helped me on the chairlift and he helped me to get off. He took me through the ski hire and I got my boots and poles and skis. We then hopped on the chairlift and then it took us up to Hut Flat. I had a ski lesson with some other people. I was having a ski lesson and Chris was going up to intermediate I think. The man who was the ski instructor, his name was Dean. He taught me how to ski and to stop and to get on the rope tow. After a while I went up the rope tow and came skiing down fast. I went over a little jump and I kept up. I sorrtetimes fell over. It was good up there.

It was 12 August when Standard fours, Form ones and Form twos went skiing. There were three beginners. They are Raewyn Wallace, Keri-Anne Henderson and Mr Rahanihi. We did the same as we had done last time but this time I was better. I didn't even fall over once on the rope tow. I only fell over twice skiing down a hill. The next day we went into Mr MacRae's class. and Mrs MacRae said that some kids from Rodm 1 and Room 2 were skiing excellently and I was one of them.

I went on the chairlift, then I went skiing. I stayed on Hut Flat. I fell over about 10 times. I learned how to stop and I went on the rope two five times. About 4.30 I went back on the chairlift and back to the hire.

The time was 1 1 .30. Davie and I went to his house to change into our ski gear. It wasn't long before we were fully changed and had had our lunch. After that our helper and teacher went through our gear with us for the final
check. Then we went in Dad's car up the mountain to the Top O' the Bruce before any other ski helpers because they caught the Goat. Soon they arrived and I threw a snowball at Carl. We went through the Top O'
the Bruce ski hire to get some skis, but I had my own. Then we went up the chairlifts and skied for the rest of the afternoon. Everyone in our group had a good time and the snow was
perfect.
