Last Saturday week 137 motorists were stopped at several checkpoints in Ohakune. Out of those, 18 were breath-tested and twelve will probably be charged. Two motorists were blood tested. Ten traffic officers from Wanganui, Turangi and Taumarunui carried out the random stopping on Saturday evening. It was one of the biggest check points ever held in Ohakune.
