GIANT REPAIRED
Turoa Skifields report that the Giant chairlift is again fully operational after last week's rogue wind blew cable and chairs off their towers. This means that all skifield facilities are operating. With the excellent snow conditions Turoa Skifields report that they are looking forward to an exciting skiracing season this year. Those to be run this week are: •31 August: Homestyle Slalom. A two run slalom, men's and women's sponsored by Quality Bakers. Part of North Island Circuit races. •1 September: Rossignol Giant Slalom. Summer and winter sports. Importers of Rossignol skis, are sponsoring this North Island circuit race. Run in conjunction with the Homestyle Slalom. This has grown to.become one of the North Island's richest race weekends.
