McDonalds Cup Junior Ski Race
Close to 100 racers assembled at Turoa on Saturday to compete in the McDonalds Cup
Giant Slalom Ski Race. Sponsored by McDonalds Family Restaurants the event is open to all junior racers under the age of 16 years. Weather conditions for the race were fine and clear
with a fresh breeze which kept the race course in top condition. Youngest competitor in the race was Luke Darlow of the Turoa Alpine Ski Club aged 5 years. The race began at 1 2 noon and was contested over two runs. Results J2 boys (14-15 yrs): lst Jacyn Bramley 1.00.93, 2nd Huntley Wright 1.02.27, 3rd Andrew Hardy 1.02.65.
