Local furniture maker recovering well
James Clifford of Raetihi, who was seriously injured in a car accident on 17 June, is making a remarkable recovery, said his friend and colleague Alan Brown last week. Alan saw him in Wanganui Hospital last Thursday and said that, considering the extent of his injuries, James was showing a "dramatic improvement." "He's able to get himself out of bed and into a chair
only two-and-a-half months after a very serious accident so the future prospects of James being able to lead a fruitful and satisfying life look bright . . . he's already well on the way." James, who worked in partnership with Ahan in the furniture manufacturing firm of Makers in Raetihi, is soon to be transferred to Auckland to receive specialised physio-therapy to restore his speech and manipulative skills.
