TUROA TUMBLERS SELECTED TO REPRESENT REGION
The following National Grade gymnasts, Sue Mcllroy, Helen Hubbard and Allen Prince, have been selected to compete as representatives of the Wanganui /Manawatu Gymnastic Association in Napier this week at the National Championships. •The following Junior National Grade gymnasts have been selected to compete in the Junior National Grade in Wellington in October: Scott Wise, Dean Drayton, Carys Hubbard (reserves: Glenn Irwin, Deidre Hamon). •The third annual 'Vegymski' weekend will be held on 21 and 22 September. This event is organised to promote the sport and community products as well as a means of giving all members the opportunity of seeing 'live' top level gymnasts. It comprises a gymnastic competition on Saturday and recreational skiing on the Sunday with plenty of carrots as prizes! It has become increasingly popular over the years and now draws some of the finest gymnasts in the North Island. Floods of entries and requests for accommodation have already been received.
