New venture for Marguerite

Now in new premises in Clyde Street is Marguerite Greenwood and her clothes business Factory Fashions. Marguerite has moved her business from the rear of Cedar Court to a more prominent position and bigger premises. The larger premises will enable her to carry a greater range of stock. Marguerite will also use the extra space to begin making clothes for sale in the shop, in addition to her commercial range of fashions. She plansto make sweatshirts, skirts and dresses for the business. Marguerite was brought up in Ohakune, and went to Ohakune Primary School and then college in Wanganui. After school she worked in Parklands, Ohakune for a short time before moving to Papatoetoe, Auckland, where she worked in the office at Bevan Garments for two years. On returning to Ohakune to live, Marguerite opened Factory Fashions with the help of her mother, and put the knowledge she gained at Bevan Garments to good use. Although she hasn't lived in Auckland for over a year, Marguerite still keeps in

touch with her friends in the city as she makes regular trips to clothes wholesalers based there. In addition to selling fashion clothes, the shop also stocks jewellery and warm socks and gloves for skiers.
