Machinery Supplies on the corner of Clyde and Goldfinch Streets was broken into, but again nothing was taken, although it appears the burglar attempted to take a motorcycle. An unsuccessful attempt

was also made to break into the Sheepskin Shop in Clyde Street. ★ ★ ★ During the early hours of Sunday morning, a lemoncoloured Morris 1100 was taken from Ayr Street, Ohakune. The vehicle was taken between midnight and 2am. Police are seeking information from anyone who may have seen the vehicle after it was taken. ★ ★ ★ A Raetihi woman will appear in court later this month charged with false pretences involving cheques. ★ ★ ★ A 16-year-old Raetihi girl was apprehended on Friday after it was alleged she fraudulently used a cheque hook. The girl has been reported I to the police youth section.
