St John Ambulance

In last week's issue of the Bulletin, in a story about Ohakune Borough's 75th anniversary plans, we stated that Mr George

Murdie represented the Waimarino Red Cross at a meeting held to plan 'birthday' activities. In fact, Mr Murdie wasat the meeting on behalf of the St John Ambulance Brigade. The region's St John Ambulance members, who will celebrate their organisation's 50th anniversary next year, will make themselves available for any medical needs during the borough's 'birthday' celebrations, and are willing to provide a float for the parade. The Waimarino Red Cross has volunteered first aid support for any jubilee events which may require it.
