Large crowd at primary school flea market

Despite drizzle and rain, there was a good crowd at the Ohakune Primary School flea market last Saturday. Approximately $650 was raised during the morning. The money will be used to send two classes of children on a camp to Mission Bay near Turangi in October. The 12 stalls at the flea market sold second hand

clothing, books, shoes popcorn and hot dogs. Bags of pine cones which children from the school collected a week prior to the flea market were also sold, raising $200. Only half the pine cones have been sold and anyone interested in buying some at $2.50-$3 per bag should contact Sandy Eades. All profits will go towards the school trip.
